How to switch off WordPress auto-updates in Parallels Plesk 12

Prerequisites

  • Administrative login for Plesk
  • Existing WordPress setup
  • WordPress Auto-updates must already be turned on

Overview

The following support article demonstrates how to turn off Automatic Updates for WordPress within Plesk. By turning off Automatic Updates, security and functionality updates for WordPress will need to be applied manually.

Instructions

NOTE: WordPress updates will still need to be applied to site to provide additional features, bug fixes and security updates. With "Auto-Update" off these will now have to be added manually.

  1. After logging in to Plesk, click on “Wordpress”.

  2. Select the WordPress Install and click “Auto-Update”.

  3. Select the subscription and click “Switch Off Auto-update”.

  4. WordPress “Auto-Update” has now been turned off.
