How to change an FTP password in Plesk

  • The subscription must already exist in Plesk


The following support article demonstrates how to reset the FTP password via the Conetix Control Panel.

Note: This article is for an older version of Plesk. For the current version, please use the following article:



  1. Login to Plesk and click on the "Websites and Domains" tab. The Click on "Show More".

  2. Click on "FTP Access".

  3. Click on the FTP account for which you want to reset the password. For this example, we are using “test_webuser”.

  4. Enter the new password in the relevant fields and then click “OK”. The password has now been changed.
